Meet Steve, one of
our pets. Steve is an inspirational
glider. Born blind, he never allowed his
disability to slow him down. He knows his cage
inch by inch, finding what he wants without
trouble. Named Steve, after Stevie Wonder, he
will rock his head to & fro to hear his owner
coming to get him for an outing. He loves to
cuddle up in his owner's pocket. |
Meet Misty, one of
our precious female pets. She enjoys
posing for a glamour shots and making herself
the center of attention. Although our pets
sometimes have joeys available for sale, the
parents are not available. |
Babies out for play.
Not only our family, but our staff enjoys the
handling rotation of all joeys at SGC.
Every joey is held up to 4 hours a day. |

Sugar Gliders can be
hand tamed and trained to pick up and handle
anywhere without getting upset. |
Our joeys are well
cared for and hand held for up to 4 hours a day
2-4 weeks before they are old enough to be sold. |
We provide complete
care information with all of our out-going
joeys. This includes the Warren Care Video
tape. |

This entire row of
gliders and babies are from another breeder
close to the Sugar Glider Connection in order to
show the difference in coloring in the breed.
At this time, SGC does not have babies available
in this color, but with our breeding program we
hope to offer them in 2005. |

Hanging around
upside down is the most natural position for a
glider in the wild. Do not be alarmed if
your glider prefers to watch you from the top of
the cage. |
Gliders can co-exist
with other family pets as long as they are
properly introduced, trained, and supervised.
It is very important that you be present when
allowing your pets to interact with each other.
Predatorily instincts may surface without
discipline and supervision. |
Fruits are a staple
in the sugar glider's diet, but apples are among
their favorites. |
